He was a foundling kitten 16 years ago; just a scrap of orange fur with a lot of voice. He grew to be a large, gentle cat beloved by the entire household. He was losing a battle with a debilitating illness that was growing rapidly more painful. Today, I decided not to hold him to that battle any longer.
