Walking in the woods by a swamp. You see a weeping willow that looks comforting. So you lay by the willow just inches from the swamp water and take a nap.

I wrote four poems simultaneously, at a stretch after a midday nap. This is the first one.

Danger ahead.

Grandma’s house is the perfect place to take a nap, especially on a rainy day.

Do you have someone in your life that you feel you truly could not live without? Is it a person? Doesn’t always have to be.

I always thought first period was for napping.

This came to me while watching my daughter sleep.

Many other cultures and countries believe in taking a nap or siesta mid-day. Why then do Americans not follow suit?
