We are humans who only want to know our worth. The love we get out of our loving is a gift that can be shared forever.

I dedicate this to those who are tempted by lust to betray a lover’s trust when the lover has forgotten to look your way once more and show the love they have for you. This poem is about desire for love and when thing in life get in the way and you second guess if the love is still there and start to think about seeking it elsewhere. But my warning of this poem is this, secret trysts are not right. Speak to your lover and proclaim your feeling of neglect and desire…if dismissed it is up to you whether you will stay or go.

The afternoon sun makes a path of light through the one room apartment.There on the couch, a lifeless female body sprawls on the couch,eyes open yet…seeing nothing, looking for love through a drug haze, when love was only a few feet away.
