This is a poem I thought of, it’s called Second Chances…

It is about a new start and letting the past go.

This poem denotes the of opening your eyes and mind to the Truth.

Starting over.

Start anew.

I want to give readers an idea of a young woman, my daughter, her strength, drive, determination and where she is now in the military and have a continious story about her adventures.

A lot of people have a favorite holiday. Most would say it’s Christmas, Halloween, or Easter- maybe some like Valentine’s Day. I prefer celebrating the new year, myself. Something about dropping the ball at midnight almost wipes the slate clean, stoking a fire of hope that died down through the old year. No one ever really gets to "start over" – but on New Year’s day I feel like I could try.
