This is a poem about the civil war in my country from 1991-2002. Eventhough I was small,. endless stories of it led me in writing this. Freetown is the capital of my country Sierra Leone.

I’ll be whatever you need me to be.

Vulnerable and true.

The angry Pacific blew its top
Nothing could its wild fury stop,
It vented its spleen,
From the depth of its being,
Encompassing, passionate,
Impatient and mean.
