Abuse, both physical and emotional is a hard thing to recover from. I will not hold onto the pain or the anger over what was done to me. If I let my past control me then my abuser has won. Forgiving liberates me.

Physical abuse according to wikipedia.org is "Physical abuse is abuse involving contact intended to cause feelings of intimidation, pain, injury, or other physical suffering or bodily harm." Physical abuse in a relationship is a serious escalating problem; there is no reason to justify a woman being beaten on. Furthermore, there is no reason for any woman to accept being beaten on. So if you are in a physically abusive relationship, you need to get help.
