Continue ReadingThe Spanish conquistador’s led by Francisco Pizarro captured the Incan leader Atahualpa on the 16th November 1532. Pizarro set a trap for the Incan’s by inviting them to a feast for their emperor. Several thousand unarmed Incans were then slaughtered by only 200 heavily armed Spanish soldiers. The leader of the Incan’s Atahualpa was spared being killed by Pizarro, he was forced to convert to Christianity before he too was eventually killed.
