This article was written in 2004. Not long after, I left my full-time federal government job for the unknown world of being a freelance writer. Seems that this "power of positive thinking" stuff really DOES work!

Acrostic poem.

The subject matter of this peom is about being in a bad relationship, which I think most of us as human’s can relate to. For everyone that has been in one, you do eventually figure it out at your own rate because sometimes love can be blinding but once you do see this and end the relationship, you end all the bad things that go with it and I think we can all agree it may very well have been the best decision you ever could have made.

I wrote this about depression which can be a constant battle if you so allow it to be. Depression can be dark as I intended the first of this poem to be, and I could define depression as a horror because in some peoples lives it is,always stuggling with yourself and your deep dark thoughts which can lead you to feel guilt, pity and so on until you become like an empty shell but there is a way out and only one person can truly help with that, the person who has it!

Sometimes, the world stops believing in you.

Story of a girl with a tough truth that she has to reveal to someone that she loves. She struggles with trust and honesty as she has to be ready for what consequences may arise.

When all seems lost, often a bitter after-taste wells up in the back of your throat reminding you of past mistakes… and how different it would be without those horrible decisions.
