Humorous poem about a woman who loses many things except the one thing that she would most like to lose.

Take a look in any cupboard or drawer in your home – go on, do it right now. What did you find? Maybe you got lucky and found something you lost last week or perhaps you feel utterly embarrassed at some of the things you feel compelled to keep in them. I’m betting either way, which ever one you chose was filled to the brim with ‘stuff’.

Having stars in their eyes can ruin people.

As I pack up my belongings to make way for the construction workers, I reflect on all the other times I’ve moved. At the midway point of getting things boxed and stowed, I believe this is a feeling to which anyone who has ever moved can relate.

Sweet is the honey busy bees bring,
Yet so painful is their sting!

With ash, tears, and pain
when home, possessions and cattle
and missing children.

There has been many discussions on possessions. There are psychologists who say, that it is not good to be obsessed and there are economics who think that it is not good to possess too many things. The film “The Exorcist” and “The Son of the Ambassador” not in the same way try to express the same idea.
