Our senses have sealed our bodies in cells with no place to turn. Regardless of what we do we remain imprisoned by their whims.

Lost in a crowd.

The scraps of life are the unfortunate among us that we forget and often condemn to a rubbish heap. Many could be found in prisons. Is it not better to reassess their condition and move those that are mentally ill into psychiatric hospitals?

This is a poem that describes the outside world scenario of human rights violation especially as it happen here in Africa where there is no dependable platform to fight for your right. This is worse than the literal prison.

Walls are used for defense, but also for prisons. Many times when dating, we will meet people who have constructed walls because of their past relationship. Have you been on either side of the wall?

This poem is about me and my initial thoughts during the first week of doing time in prison. I was sent to prison, because I was asked to go to a Rehab for going into a Bar to talk to my father but chose not to go. I did not drink. I was leading a good life. I created a Boardgame that I wanted to launch. I was all set to meet with a Toy and Game purchaser of a Major Dept Store Chain. Then my newly changed life came crashing down before my eyes. All this was due to the anger and vindictiveness of an ex girlfriend that told my probation officer that she seen me enter that bar. I had already completed two/plus years on probation for a DWI. Sometimes life can really be so’ darned unfair. Read my poem and then please comment. Thank you!!

Some persons choose to live a life in prison where they can get meals, a roof over their head and medical attention. They know that by having a felony it will be most difficult for them to find a job.
