Here are two stories both occurring on November 24th. One in 1971 and the other in 1999. They are both stories of the extreme cold, the first how one man chose to risk his life for money, the second of how many lost theirs through being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Patty Hearst or Patricia Campbell Hearst to go by her full name is the granddaughter of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst. She was abducted from her home and held for ransom. What is intriguing in this story is how she then joined with her abductors and was an accomplice in armed robberies with them.

A businessman is car-jacked, taken hostage and offered for ransom. The story begins with our man contemplating his captivity in his cell and wondering if he’ll ever see freedom – and home – again. Suddenly events take a turn for the worse and our man is confronted with some horrifying events. But these are nothing compared to the reality that awaits once he gains his liberty.
