There’s a malady severe…

38 of 50 haiku poems written on Friday, July 1, 2011 to document the day my husband had surgery. Each haiku deals with something that was around me that day from the time I left that morning until we were home and finally went to sleep.

And regrowth afterwards.

No more weeping for lost phones.

Taking consolation in the night after a hard day’s work. Its been stressful. High is here, Sleep is near. It is bedtime!

At the end of a broken heart is strength.

Some things are harder to forget than others.

Scars tell stories, stories of pain, stories of hurt, and stories of recovery.

Ever had a panic attack? They come on strong and out of nowhere and very disturbing. But they pass and no one has ever died from them…there is help, deep breathing, forcing to think positive thoughts, distracting your mind on something else, praying, and just giving it time to pass…however hard that is!!
