I have learned life the hard way.

This is a poem about someone who has tolerated abuse because it’s been normal since childhood, and now they are realizing it’s not ok.

Cats can climb up trees quickly, but because of the way their claws are curved, must back down the tree. Because of this, a house cat with no tree climbing experience can become stuck in a tree. Sometimes, we humans operate in much the same way.

Young love grows, dies out a little and then grows stronger than ever. It is a story about love conquering the things in life that seem beyond our abilities.
