The humans are fighting a losing war.
Asther of the small town of Greenwood was going to turn 17. This meant he had to go to war and defend his race from the elves. Asther had no intention of dying, so he ran. him and his small band of humans lived off of what the woods have provided. Making arrows and weapons for hunting and learning to survive in the wilderness. These four yeomen had become Rangers of the forest. Asther, Sear, Felandra, and Aaron.
Though the eternally youthful elves seem to be the threat, the real threat is what is behind them. Asther and his Rangers must decide whether to save themselves, or attempt to save the dying race of man.
