Melvin had acquired an old vehicle and was using it to work for a newspaper delivery service. Melvin was earning good money to help pay for his schooling. Life was good for Melvin and he had a few dollars in the bank.

Ruby’s smell was all over Melvin. He feared that his mother would detect her female fragrance. He stopped by a fast food store and used hand soap to mask the odor. Melvin drove home thinking just how different it was to have sex with a little woman. Melvin did not consider himself to be a bad kid.

Several files were attracted by the smell of the raw meat. Melvin was trying to kill them with the swart when his mother walked in. His mother asked him what he was doing. He responded that there was uninvited guest in the house. Melvin was talking about the flies, Ruby gave Melvin a blank stare and said that she and her children could leave. Melvin believed that he saw genuine hurt in her eyes. He was quick to apologize and tried to assure her that he was not talking about her and her family. His mom also assured her that he was talking about the flies.
