In this next short story, Ryan has lost everything. His parents, friends, and his world. Now he is with a group of people who know how to kill these shadows. But will the plan to kill these shadows work? Can the shadows even disappear forever, or will they live among the people of Earth until there is no more people on our planet. Can they survive The Dark Days?

In this thrilling short story Ryan, his mother, and the three friends meet some unwanted visitors as the lights in the house out go out. They travel outside to find food and people when something terrible happens. Will the shadows kill all of them or will Ryan and the others find a way to kill the shadows?

A 16 year old boy, named Ryan, and his friends are celebrating Ryan’s 16th birthday. They are having a great time, but they don’t know what’s coming for them. Something weird, scary, and mysterious is about to happen to them that will change their life forever. Maybe even end it. They will have to survive in…The Dark Days.

When he returned to camp alone, Ryan told his fellow loggers that they had been attacked by a bear. Ryan claimed to have been knocked out by a glancing blow, and said that when he came to, he found that the cook had been dragged away. Ryan told the lumberjacks that he had tried to track the bear, but a snowstorm had obliterated the tracks. Search parties were sent out, but they found no trace of the dead cook. Meanwhile, Ryan made himself scarce while the men were out searching, and no one ever found out where he went.
