Shadows.

My Refuge describes a person that thrives at night or in the dark because they feel hidden from the world. They feel safe in this dark existence because they haven’t allowed themselves to really be seen for who they are.

This poem is one I wrote about forbidden love and the pain it causes. I go on to describe that the love and pain is with you like a shadow, even in your dreams while you sleep.

Shadows mush be conquered by light in our lives.

Ugly realities.

Shadows are like fair weather friends that which dessert at the darkest hours of life and in moments of distress.
