Another haiku from my ever growing collection.

A reflection of life and living, love and death, time and stillness.

This poem talks about learning to fly solo, but it isn’t really referring to learning to fly an airplane. It is about growing up, coming of age, soaring into the future, spreading wings and taking flight into life.

I never really knew where I belonged until I figured out that I wanted to be apart of the Men and women who served this great country, and well flying was always the biggest dream I have had.

The dragon’s fire burns and lights the night sky….
