I wrote this after seeing Rise Against’s unedited music video for Ready to Fall. It was completely inspired by them. Also, I decided to take a chance and not make a chorus. BUT I may change that.

I just wrote this for the sake of songwriting. I may choose to delete this song but keep the main theme: Our society has become depraved and is constantly lusting for power, and those who choose to go against such and choose to love are the ones who become the casualties of our society. I’m impressed with myself to be honest that I came up with this in less than 10 minutes, including the theme. The progression will probably go V1, Chorus, V2, Chorus, V3, Chorus, Chorus (alt ending). As for the guitar, I’m not 100% sure. I want it to be intense so I’ll probably have a heavy base and drums. The guitar will probably play Fifth Chords (or power chords) on the chorus and I haven’t thought about the verses.

Well, I plan on making an acoustic version as well as one with maybe piano, two guitars, a bass, and maybe drums. The inspiration came one night when I was thinking to myself. I decided to write down my thoughts. Those thoughts turned into lyrics the next morning. This has a deeper meaning to it as well and I’m sure many of you who know me might be able to figure it out. I plan to go far with this song and I hope it brings healing. However, it’s not completely done as it still needs music (obviously) and I might change a few lyrics, but it is unlikely.

This is a praise song. This song was inspired by a band named M.Fillmore. When I asked Tim how long it took him to write Angels, he said one history period. He gave me a piece of advice a little after. He said, “Just keep writing because you might write maybe ten songs, but maybe only one will make it.” So later, I got a concept in my head and how often the Bible refers to thieves, and just like that, I began to write.
