The Resistors are battling the Robot Children. They’re struggling to survive. Meanwhile, Zach Sakari continues a intrapersonal battle. He hates not being human, and accidentally comes off as insensitive to Klara. He also resents his friend Jacob Jones, and is bothered by Sissy’s nature to hierarchize everything. Especially when it comes to him being ranked lowest, below Klara and… Jacob.

Under command of Demon Prince Firechild, the Robot Children have taken Destruct City. Mysterious, eternally burning feathers surround the city, forming an air blockade; there’s no way out for the Resistors. They’re in the middle of a genocide against humans. Except, only four of them remain. And only 2.5 are actually human.

The Resistors’ only hope is to find the Demon King Salmence, and appeal for help to destroy his demented son, Prince Firechild. But no one has seen him in three thousand years…

Until then the Resistors must diminish the Robot Children’s numbers, and keep out of sight or be destroyed. Luckily, there seems to be another force on their side—the reason for scores of dead robots lining the streets of Destruct City.
