Goma means drum in Lingala and it is close to Kirundi which is Ingoma. Gombe is cow in Lingala as well as in Kiswahili. The drum is the principal instrument in Central Africa and the cow plays a sacred part in that region too and it is due to the Great Lakes which are important over there and that is why we have to be cautious with the pictures we see from there because the population tends to be secret.
