Continue ReadingWe all carry something deep inside, a collection of events: anguishes, struggles, ridicule, and accomplishments, these are the elements of the invisible self, the self which is worn on the inside. The suit of clothing which strengthens and binds, tears at us and burdens us in the privacy of our minds, it is the world we bring to the public through our words. Looking back, some lingering memories will lift us to great merriment or delight, while others may restrain us, drain us, dismay us, like anchors, weighting us down, eventually, to drown us, like a log saturated, sinking, no longer buoyant.
May I continue to grow, as my hair grays, and life’s road shortens to a gentle good night after a life of infamy.
