This poem is a my mind floating in thought about people who quit on love and relationships when it gets too serious, too hard, or too real. It describes the mind’s transition from being broken-hearted to being in love again.

One trying to correct mistakes, find a new direction, and strengthen identity.

Relationships teach us what we need to know and learn.

Entwined with sorrow.

About greeting the new year in the Windy City.

Awake from the living dead of numbness.
