A poem about a truck driver and his adventures.

This poem is about my father in law he is now 82 and just last year he stopped running his truck. He has such tales of the road of when the truckers had respect for one another and the runs were good but it sure is a hard life.

This is a story about Joe, a truck driver who had to be away from home quite often. Many of us at one time or another have to travel for our employers, but Joe was often across country from family. Hard to get from one place to another when you drive an eighteen wheeler. Sometimes when we are away things happen, we miss things that are important. Joe missed the most important thing.
