A story about a childhood friend I had who was American with an Iranian heritage. In these turbulent times, with uncertain political futures, I think it is important to be reminded of the happy times of life and that deep down, we are not that much different from each other.

My day would start and end with a dream; a dream prod by Tootsie Roll. Don’t be silly! To those who presume damn quickly, before you take your dirty mind off elsewhere, I am really ratting about the 1896 chewy candy. Sorta preposterous that Tootsie Roll can make me faraway and wishful, right? If that stirs your interest, why not linger and read up awhile.

This country is divided into 50 states………… why is that. What is the point?
