Continue ReadingHatred is a disease that is age-old, some of which date back centuries, such as antisemitism that had its roots in Rome, soon after Christianity had been replaced by paganism, some, much later, in the United States where slavery and color prejudice were glaringly prevalent; others, through religious doctrines, such as fundamental Islam. The virulence of hatred can be calculated in tragic terms, through persecutions, forced conversions and expulsions, all of which are well-recorded in the annals of history. In spite of this age of Enlightenment, such forms of hatred may not be totally abolished, and continue to sporadically exist in many parts of the world.
