An ode to my upbringing.

I make decisions that are influenced by my knowledge,
which is a collection of my experiences as well as the
experiences of others along with the many ways I have
"educated" myself through the years.

Just like you do.
Along the way, one of my "saving grace’s" in watching other people making
decisions that affect their lives negatively has been this revelation:

I would have done the same if I were in their shoes
and experienced their Life as they had…

You can love someone and still disagree with the choices that they have made.

It is mothers day the world over today, and what better way to celebrate my mother than sharing with you what she taught me only once in my life?

A deep-routed psychosis as a laborer deals with a bizarre set of circumstances.

When my children were very little I taught them to be self sufficient. I taught them how to dress themselves, tie their shoes, take a bath, brush their teeth, get their own water, etc. The list could go on and on. But the two most important things I taught them was to “mind your manners” and “respect your elders”. I had assumed that every parent taught their children these elements. I was wrong.
