This poem was inspired my a gentlemen that I met at a wine bar. He was telling me about trips that he had taken to Africa and Europe.

recite your way
into a heart sadly
broken today.

I feel that we need more Extreme Gospel Songs that don’t make you feel like you are drolling along. So I wrote this during Church this morning.

Attitude is everything. Avoid wasting precious life energy on things that you cannot control.

We are not on Earth for us alone
We are here for those
That grieve and moan;
We are here to feel
The pain of those
That know no comfort
Nor repose.

What do you do when you get knocked down?
How do you handle Life’s disappointments,
setbacks, challenges, and even betrayals?
When you’re on your knees with the wind sucked out of you,
what do you do? Where do you go?
What do you blame… or who?
How long do you stay there?
…or are you still there even now?

Words and thought are truly food to the soul.
