AUTOMOBILING.

In Marion County, West Virginia the worst mining disaster in American history occurred on December 6th 1907. An explosion occurred in a network of mines owned by the Fairmont Coal Company in Monongah. It claimed the lives of 361 coal miners.

Explosions caused by Methane gases in a coal mine deep below West Virginia claimed the lives of 78 miners in 1968. The damage caused by these explosions was so extensive that the mine was sealed with the miners bodies still trapped inside.

This piece of creative writing will shock and stun you, especially since it was written by my 10-year-old boy.
