A little poem about two widows.

Inspired by the sermon given by my Pastor yesterday. We are very quick to say "Amen" when we believe the sermon speaks of someone else’s shortcomings. But we rarely look at ourselves and apply the Word to our own lives because we are too busy looking at how others measure up. Are we willing to say Amen when it is pointed out that WE are wrong?

We all get upset about things…this shows the darkest inner spirit that most of us hide from time to time.

An old widow tries to help a boy and his mother escape the abuse of there husband and father. All the while tending to her precious cats.

So many times the less fortunate are left less fortunate especially during the holidays. I always ask myself what if that lady on the street was my mom. Or what if that was my daughter begging for food.

Angels with a message that warns us to be careful of what we pray for, because it might come true.

When the thunder is booming and the lightening is flashing, a person with a vivid imagination can get into such a state.

What put the “Great” in Great Britain? Not the politicians, not the soldiers nor the statesmen. It was the Reformers, that remarkable band of men and women who changed to face of the land with compassion and kindness, with love and self-sacrifice. Now, without their vision what hope do we have?
