Cruelty inflicted by Japanese soldiers were not uncommon. The severity of punishments were inhuman. One would suppose that their politeness, expressed in their constant bowing, should have been reflected in how they should have treated prisoners which, regrettably, in most instances, was on the contrary.

Having someone that is the focus of your affection can be very hurtful if it isn’t returned. It can also be mind boggling trying to figure out what to do if that person doesn’t even know you are alive. A lot of sleepless nights go by thinking and weeping not knowing what to do.

The U.S.A. is not just any common creation of nationhood; it is an edifice of hope for others to emulate. The world may change its erstwhile course of democracy, but the Constitution formulated by the founding fathers of this country has not changed and remains unshakeable.
