You have heard of the land of milk and honey
Have you heard about the poor and the hungry
What about all of the homeless with no money
What about the crime that was related to money

What about us beating a foreign country in war
Breaking them down and paying to build it up
The eagle is our symbol and we should soar
Don’t forget about those trying with no luck

What do restaurants do with left over food
Many throw food away at the end of night
While begging for food is considered rude
We need to and can do more in this fight

Look around Americans the war is not over
We have way too many casualties at home
The pain and the suffering have doubled
The care for our Americans have gone

This is a great country and we fight to be free
Our greatness should be judge by our actions
We can be greater by taking care of all of thee
The budget is big but we need a small fraction
