This is a story of my life.

My name is Rhonda Kay Fisher; I was born on March 23, of 1981 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. I was 9 LBS 4 Oz and I was 21 inches long. I was born about 4pm on a Monday afternoon. I have one sibling, my brother, his name is William Black. We have the same mom, but different dads. I also have two sisters by the same dad, but I have never met them.

The day I was born both of my parents were very excited and very happy. I was a very intelligent and a very active child. I was crawling at the age 4 months, walking at the age 6 months, my first word was dada, my first complete sentence was “leave me the f*** alone.”

Our family was never big on traditions. But we did have a few, and that was going to church on Sunday and celebrating religious holidays. One of my favorite holidays was Christmas, because we always had lots of food, family, and gifts. Plus, we got to sing Christmas carols and have fun playing with our new toys.

I had one best friend that I grew up with and her name is Katie Catharine Ann Roussin. Her mom and my mom have been best friends for 32 yrs. Katie and I are 2 wks apart. That is how we became friends and we are still best friends to this day.

I remember when I was in the 4th grade we had a field day where there was track, hurdles, long jump, softball throw, and the 100m dash. Well I got a lot of ribbons for being there and I got 3rd place in the 100m dash. I also received 3rd place in my science project, which I can’t remember what it was.

I would have to say my adopted dad, John Landon, had an impact on my life. He has taught me a lot in life. He has taught me how to work on vehicles and how to drive them, how to fish, how to work with animals, He also showed me how to ride horses. He was also the one to help me with my schoolwork.

School was very hard for me, because we moved around a lot. We lived in 4 different states and a lot of different towns. So it was really hard to make friends and learn anything in school. Different schools were at different levels, so there was a lot that I had missed because we could never stay in one spot. There are some things that remember about some of the schools. When we were living in Cope, Colorado I was in the 5th grade and the teachers would send us home with stacks of books to do before the next day. There were nights that I stayed up till midnight trying to do my homework for school the next day, we didn’t get to be a kid. Another school I was going to was in Wiggins, Colorado. I was in the 6th grade, and I was in math and reading resource, well they wanted to hold me back to see if I could do the regular classes. well by the time summer was over with we had moved back to Grand Junction, Colorado. I left Wiggins just learning how to do fractions to knowing how to do algebra, so I never learned how to do percentages until I was trying to get my GED about 6 yrs ago and I took 4 yrs of GED classes and never passed.

My best memory that I have is when we had this dog-named short dog, he was a chocolate lab cross. He always loved playing fetch, tug-a-war, and playing in the water. Mom told us kids to stay out of the water, and shorty would go find the biggest log he could. Then he would bring it to us kids to play tug and he would always pull us into the water, so we would get into trouble for being wet.

The thing that interests me is studying about rocks, because I think it is neat how they were made and how they are used then and now. I enjoy their colors, and the different shapes and sizes they come in. One of my favorites is the quartz, because they look so pretty. There is just something about the quartz that really amazes me. There is an old quartz mine in Grand Junction, Colorado where I use to hike. There are all kinds of caves where they used to dig for them. It is a really neat place to go. I have a lot of rocks from there.

I have a lot of hobbies, and they are; collecting key rings, bowling, throwing darts, shooting pool, riding horses, hiking, snowboarding, rock collecting, coin collecting, frog knick knacks, horse knick-knacks, and camping.

Some of my dreams were to become a model, singer, and acting. I always thought it would be so fun to do. When my mother and I are shopping I love to try on cloths. I always loved singing, been doing it since I was a child. I think acting would just be so much fun. Well when I was about 16 yrs old I had the chance to do modeling, but I had to get sponsors , which I had. I was only $200 dollars short from the amount that I needed. Well I laid my money on the counter for a minute, because I had to go to the bathroom and dad told me that I needed to put that money away so it wouldn’t get stolen. Well I came out of the bathroom, my money and my dad was gone. Dad took the money and went to go buy beer with it. So ever since that happened I never went through with my dreams.

I like all different types of foods. Here are some of my favorites; pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, and barbequed ribs. I have never really been a picky eater. I also like; cooked carrots, spinach, green beans, beats, corn on the cob and in the can, but all time favorite is chef salad.

The types of movies I enjoy watching are; horror, comedy, action, thrillers, some romance, and I love Disney movies. Here are some I really like; The Craft, Grease, Final Destination, Titanic, Selina, Peter Pan, Shriek, The Little Indian in the Cupboard, Cars, The Lion King, some Stephen King, Drum line, The Light House.

I don’t have a favorite type of music. I enjoy listening to classical, rock, western, oldies, hip-hop, rap, and country. I grew up listening to oldies and country western music. My brother listens to rap, hard rock, 70’s and 80’s. My dad would always listen to White Snake, ZZ Top, and CCR. My mother listen to 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. I listen to 50’s through today’s music.

I enjoy playing video games, computer games, and some board games. Just to name some of them; Yahtzee, Dinner Dash, Bejeweled, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Mahjong, Tetris, Spider solitary, racing, and fighting games. I also enjoy playing brain games. Games that make u think.

In conclusion; I am a very easy outgoing, very understanding, good listener, with a great personality. I love to make people laugh. I enjoy meeting new people, and hang out with friends.
