Just me thinking out loud about color issues, that are still floating around in the air. It will be a dream come true, when we wake up and forget about color issues.
What separate you from me?
Identity
(Ones unique personal qualities)
So if that be true
We should embrace one another
You’re ideology is not going to be the same as mine
And that’s fine
We live in a multicultural society
We are expected to be different
The idiocy of such acts is not trifling at all
It is a big deal, when you come off as to uplift your identity and surprises mine
Who cares if you’re skin is whiter then mine
What does it matter if I was born on the south side and you on the east side
Is it more important if you have more money in you’re hip pocket
then I have in my back pocket
I believe the problems lies in our ability to compromise
Let us sit at the table of righteousness and discuss this
Then we can dismiss all this silliness
I’ll respect you’re story and you do the same with mine
All we want is a hand up not a hand out
We don’t have to scream and shout
Respect is what it’s all about
