I’m still the sixteen year old…

Do you remember
the time when we met?
You were the law
and me – the antagonist
still am…
Slightly different
but still the same
While the world
around me changes
I’m still the sixteen year old
who dreamt of tomorrow
And still does
not knowing that
the future has arrived
And while I tried my best
to hold on to that
sweet sixteen
it inevitably passed
And everyone, yes everyone
is looking at me
staring at me
feeling pity
And everyone
lets go
like a 16 year old needs
But I now feel crippled
completely torn
Because I still need a daddy
and I still need a mom
I haven’t grown
like the world around me
I still wanna play
I still wanna play
