Finding ones self.

I’ve forgotten who I was
A very long time ago
As I learnt that it was safer
To not let my true self show
Because back then I was taught
That sensitive was weak
That no one wanted to hear my feelings
So of them I do not speak
I have forgotten what I was good at
Forgotten ambitions I once had
Forgotten the things that made me happy
The things that made me glad
I miss the inspiration I’d feel
From observing all around
I miss the curiosity that grabbed me
In all the things i’d found
So now I’m starting a new journey
Of getting back to me
It’s something we all have to do
Its called self discovery

nicely written. “To thine own self be true” Polonius – Shakespeare Hamlet Act I Scene III.

Be yourself, then be the best you possible.

Very true. Everyone needs to find their true self and voice. Nice one.
