The brave men of war.
Sounding the horn
In rode the solders on horseback
At the break of dawn
Raggedy, injured and ready to hit the sack.
They had been fighting for almost half the night
No white flag for this motley crew
Until the enemy drew back in flight
Only what are left are only a few.
Not giving up the fight with a white flag
They have the big canons
With the wounded we pick up and drag
Off go the battalions.
The war will be done when we are dead and buried
With only memories of the dead
As the air is filled with death penetrated in the air so heavy
Carved onto stones, words of them are read.
