A creative description of an author in the process of writing a story.

Shadows shifted across the page
As words slowly appeared
While a pen danced across the paper and whispered as it went.

Scratchy script skipped fluidly
Across the page and glowed out a story.
The pen bled thin gold blood

And ran across the page to a
Beat as steady as a drum.

A hum of anticipation floated
In the air. There were waves and waves of moonlight
Pouring in through a window
Lighting the words and the pen
In an eerie, ethereal glow.

The strokes billowed like wind bullied waves
And graced the page elegantly, fitting it precisely,
Like a well-made glove.

The words looped and dipped
Giving off a sophisticated air.

Slowly, the wielder of the pen drew
His piece to a close and
The whispers faded to
Almost total silence.

Almost…

The words still sang.

Beautiful imagery! That last line: “The words still sang” is electric. Yes, the creative process is all of this. Excellent!
