Thinking back on a break up.
Sometimes I think back to what happened,
Our plant grew everyday from our passion,
Until it reached an invisible ceiling,
“Things change” and you think… “Really?”
Who you used to hug, you can’t touch anymore,
What you used to kiss is like a fear of a cold sore,
We try to exspell every thought ’til there’s no more,
Share a plate to the last raven of Eleanor….
(Chorus)
Leave it alone (x2) or you’ll … scream (x4)
When everything good turns into a cactus,
How come love can end up like this?
Staring up at the sky does the stars have an answer?….. (pause)
…..it sighs clouds…. to darken questions….
…its getting cold…. to freeze suggestions….
Memories shattered and roll into tumbleweed,
All the ifs erase; left a bitter taste,
So this is what grows if there’s a reason to hate.
(Chorus)
Not thinking of the pain to get close again,
Why set yourself up to get bloodstained?
Feeling suicidal?…… Walk away for survival,
For nature controls that title
of reckless, pure, perfect faults
and cracks of a human scratched on a board of chalk.
Sent from love’s error; Be happy be free,
The raven leaves us and lastly so do “we”.
(Chorus)
