When tempted to criticize.

When tempted to criticize, bite your tongue,
When tempted to cheat, kill your thought.
When tempted to run, make yourself strong.
When tempted to lose, become tough.
When tempted to betray, get faith.
When tempted to deceive, catch trust.
When tempted to fool, become wise.
When tempted to fight, get things right.

    What kind of philosophy is that? Never criticize? Never fight?
    I cannot accept that.

    I think the purpose of the poem was not to say that we shouldn’t fight back when the need arises, but that we should always attempt to find a peaceful solution to conflicts before engaging in an all-out war. That and the fact that we should focus on the positive and not the negative.
