The life he lived here is over, but the afterlife is waiting above.
For the heavens have sent for him, with all its glory, all its love.
But not before he lived a full and fruitful life, with Amy, Joseph and Noel.
His brothers, sisters, and other family members can relate to this as well.
I know they will miss him dearly and he will miss them too.
The strength he left behind will help them make it through.
The chapter of his life here on Earth is permanently closed.
The next chapter in the “Upper Room” is where his soul has rose.
We cry for selfish reasons, because our loved one has gone to past.
Not thinking of the joy his life now carries, God’s choice, so hard to grasp.
He’s in a better place now, no more pain he has to bear.
He too cries for selfish reasons, because he wishes you all were near.
So rejoice and sing aloud now about his going home.
For the love he left behind, you will never be alone.
 
If only there were a sneak preview of some lives after death.
Our hearts and minds wouldn’t suffer about a loved one that has left.
