He looked out of the window, just as he does everyday.

It was just another day at number 9, Hard Row. He looked out of the window, just as he does everyday, at the fog and the clouds and the rain covering the sky completely.. He sees something out of the corner of his eye. What is it? Is it a bat? No, it can’t be, its way to small to be a bat. He went up closer to it. He sighed, and began to repeat to himself over and over again, “Its only a shadow” He got himself a glass, and then turned on the tap. Well that was strange, the tap wasn’t working. He then went outside to check the water pipe going into his house. Nothing but water flowing everywhere. As he stared hard into the fog, he heard a noise. Very quiet, but consistent, like footsteps. Then he heard it louder. It was coming down his stairs. It was in his house. There we nothing he could do now, except run, and that he did, he ran as far and as fast as he could, but it was too fast. It was catching up with him quickly. He would have to trick it, quickly he began to strip off all his clothes as he was running. He dropped all the clothing in one big heap, and jumped suddenly to the right. If it was to look down the hill, it would see him at first sight and kill him. It was so close he could hear its unsteady heartbeat. He could hear it tearing the clothes apart. Screaming and whining. He wished he had something to block the noise with. The breathing was slowly becoming more regular, and slowly becoming clearer. He just sat there, waiting and hoping for it to go away…

Was a great introduction to a story that sounds full of action and adventure, it really got my attention I wanted to keep reading, but then it ended, keep up the good work.
