It was a bright and sunny day in Daisyland. All of the insects were getting ready for the town meeting at 6:00pm.

Janet-fly was nervous about the gathering because they were handing out awards for the Best Citizen, Best Reader and so on and so on. Janet-fly wanted Best Fly so bad but her rival Anne-fly wanted the award twice as bad.

All the insects started heading down to Daisy-Square. Ding! Ding! Ding! Dong! It was time for the meeting, The mayor opened the gathering,” Hello everyone! Welcome to the meeting of Daisyland. Everyone knows why we’re here right? Anyways let’s start with the Ladybug Awards.

Janet-fly ran to go find a seat. Anne-fly of course was spying on Janet-fly. Janet-fly was also spying on Anne-fly.

“Bill wins the award for the best dancer”, announced the Mayor. Everyone started clapping and yelling! “Jona wins the best-flier award.”

Janet-fly was moving in on Anne-fly. Anne-fly knew perfectly what sge was doing but kept still. Janet-fly was five meters away from Anne-Fly,”The best fly award goes to………………………….”

Janet-fly was in arms reach, Anne-fly yelled, “Janet-fly is trying to hurt me, you can see on the ground right beside me!” yelled Anne-fly. Everyone stopped and stared at her.

“Well, she was going to wind best-fly ward but I guess she can’t win if she to hurt someone,” said the Mayor. “We have to change the winner.”

Let Anne-fly win, she’s nice and sweet”, someone added from the crowd. “Ya, let her win!,” added another from the crowd.”

Ok then Anne-fly you win the best-fly award. Everyone started to cheer except Janet-fly; she was crying. Anne-fly proudly said, “Thank you for choosing me after the incident with Janet-fly. She bowed and went of the stage.

“Thank you for coming to this meeting.” Janet-fly flew back to her garbage home.”Mom wwwhats for……….. dinner.

“Dung”, she answered. She loved dung! It wasn’t a bad day after all.
