Have you ever been through a low point in life? Have you ever hit rock bottom? Oftentimes, inspiration can be found through the expression of writing. This is my expression of a rough time in my life. May it speak to you as it once spoke to me.
Learning the places it’s safe to hide,
Learning to suppress the hurt inside.
Learning to smile so none can see
The secrets I carry deep within me.
Learning to love the darkness near,
Learning to forget all I hold dear.
Learning to accept the way things are,
Learning dreams don’t come from falling stars.
Learning true happiness doesn’t exist,
Learning there’s no more to life than this.
Learning to taste every tear that is cried,
Learning to close up shop and die.
