Lying taught me nothing. I never really understood the point of lying, lying to those closest to me. I have always hated lying, but because I have lied in the past, everyone thinks I am a liar, now no one sees the honesty behind my deepest thoughts and I pray that one day they will understand the reason for my lies. My reason is that the truth hurts. That is probably the reason many people lie. What I learnt is that lying doesn’t get to anywhere and that in the end everyone finds out the truth, the truth you have been hiding. Isn’t it weird how your parents always say “if you tell the truth you wont get in as much trouble” and then you do and they go ballistic?

I have always thought that, why they act out, and I guess it is because they heard what they didn’t want to hear. “I always say oh yeah they”ll get over it’ and they do. There is no excuse to lie no matter how little it maybe. You may tell one white lie, but to hide the truth about that lie you have to tell another one, and another, and another until your whole life is a lie. Imagine what it would be like if your children found out there whole life was based on a lie? Lying never gets you anywhere and in the end it will only be you who gets hurt.
