It has been said that life is a series of moments. In the end all that you have left are these moments. We often look back at these moments that most define us. And measure them as a year or two. Thinking in disbelief that they happened so long ago, yet for us it seems like yesterday. In our minds the details are so clear, because that was when our lives changed so much.

Some of us, Like myself, get stuck in these moments. Because if in fact these moments are over, Then what is left? Where do we go from here? What is the next step in our journey? And most of all, Why did that moments have to end? Why did my life have to change?

Simple answers to not so simple questions. Because they had to in order for our lives to move forward.

Perhaps someday we shall find other, Not better, Just different moments that will come close to the bliss we once felt. And that moment will help define who we are. Each day we grow and learn as humans. And in the end all we have left are our series of moments. So we must embrace them now and make them special. For they will not last forever. Only in our hearts and our memories will they stay eternal. Parts of our soul that move on with us. We can never get these moments back. All we can do is make new ones.

The people that we encounter who do not seem important at the time, that we take for granted that they will always be there, Become just pieces of our moments. They help define ourselves. They teach us and touch our lives as no one else can. When their moments are gone they live forever in our hearts.

Still we question our importance. Our lives matter! Yet we never see that! Only others do.

Today as I sit here and write this, this moment too shall fade. These thoughts will fade. Because we must move on from these moments and enjoy the moments that God has given us. Our moments. To live… Forever.
