Just a complex thought written down. It may confuse you, it may make you think, it may make you want to argue with me. You’ll just have to read it and see.

In order to understand a concept, one must be able to grasp every aspect of it. One should be willing to look at the positive as well as the negative. Because without the negative, there would be no positive. And without the positive there would be no negative.

One cannot say that one believes in something if one does not fully understand a concept, however. So therefore, in order to say one believes in a concept, one must fully understand the concept. And in order to fully understand a concept, one must be able to see both sides of the concept.

The concept in question must also have the ability to be analyzed from different points of view. If there is only one side to the argument, there is no argument, which means it is indisputable. No one can argue it well or intelligently because they would have to make something up to argue with.

All of this brings up the question of a religion having set boundaries as far as its beliefs. In order to have indisputable beliefs in a religion, someone has to come up with them. And in order for someone to write them, they must fully understand the religion in question. And the only way they can fully understand it is to grasp both sides of the religion, the positive and the negative. Once on reaches complete understanding, next comes the task of believing in it.

Nice Article. I might throw in my two cents on the topic. You gave very good argument for duality in religion and probably for most spiritual and/or thought paths. I believe that given the almost universal premise that all there is is God (source, energy, Allah Hu, Eloheim, the absolute…..et cetera)we all are actually a point of consciousness that contains every single aspect of what is true. Every outward projection, every thought or theory are merely ways to point back to that point of consciousness or our enoightened selves…or our christ consciousness…or our actuallized selves…(attach any comfortable label). In other words, the only things we can in human manefestation talk of, think of or conceive of are metaphors for the truth of who we are.

Nice job on the article. I enjoyed it.
