In this journey of life where nothing is certain but death…

We’re always in search
for the most elusive
thing on earth,
- absolute happiness.

That’s why, in our lives
we have to settle down
With the thought that
we finally found the one
The best and the ultimate
realization of our dreams,
Our real and everlasting
LOVE

In one of Rod Stewart’s songs
he once said to the world
“The first cut is the deepest”
And I thought it was so
because it felt the same
the first time I did

The second cut was fairly deep
so with the second, the third,
and so on and so forth…

I thought that each time
I am cut, the lesser
the pain it would inflict
but I was wrong

I came to realized that
I only came to think
that they were not as
painful as the first ‘coz
I’m already used to it

Then the last cut came
it came without a warning
It’s the most painful,
the pain is unbearable
But then again,
I must go on living
no matter how much
I am hurt.

Very nice way of portraying your journey. The pain and sorrow felt are reflections of how we ‘thought’ events should be for ourselves. We should also realize that all internal, non-physical suffering is due to thoughts which can be eradicated. Acceptance, forgiveness and love play important roles in relieving suffering.

When we begin to realize our journey through life is making choices that we are responsible for then we are truly adult.
