To my first and only true love. I hate him, but I’ll always love him.
It started out any other way,
The sun in the sky, what a beautiful day.
Didn’t notice the clouds rollin’ in
My enjoyment of the sun had just begun.
The flowers in the garden were in full bloom.
The feelings in my heart, anything but gloom.
The waves at Sea didn’t like what they saw,
Crashing in the rocks, making everyone crawl.
I tried to ignore the thunderstorm.
Good bye sunshine, without my inform.
The sun had smiled on my face,
Had touched my heart with such grace.
This was a nightmare, a day turned into night.
I tried to let the shine go without a fight.
Again and again trying to ignore the thunderous rain.
The love was gone, leaving my heart in pain.
And how it was all over, at the end of the day,
The storm had passed, leaving my life still gray.
The world had moved on,
happy laughter here and there,
As I sat in the window, wishing for my sun.
Wiping my cheeks of the salty tears.
