A poem about the wisdom of the narrator and his willingness to help despite whether or not someone is his enemy or friend.

I’ve seen the bright
I’ve seen the dark
The wise, the dull,
And endless art
Of beautiful sunrises
Gloomed rainy days
Grass intertwining among flowers
Of Endless color arrays

I’ve seen death
Ive witnessed life
Known loss and love
And gain and strife
Been hurt, been healed
Have fought, kept peace
This list of things will never cease

Been wet, been cold
Been hot, been dry
Had to crawl, then walk
Then run, and fly
To places other than home
I know I’ve seen more than some.

These burdens I carry
Seem heavy, seem light
Seem difficult, and simple
Back to dark, and bright
I dont carry them to brag
I dont carry them to laugh
I carry them because one day
You’ll need me, some way
And despite what you’ve done
Whether an enemy or my son
Rest assured, Ill be there
Because despite what you believe:
I care.
